Teacher Arrested For Reportedly Sleeping With Student In Her Car
A recently married teacher has been taken into custody, accused of engaging with a student inside her car multiple times.
Tayla Brailey, a 30-year-old physical education instructor from Australia, was detained this week.
She faces charges of engaging in intercourse with a student and for sending her objectionable videos on the hookup site GetYourHoe. com, where she got in touch with the student.
Brailey was arrested at Lurnea High School in Sydney, where, according to court documents, she visibly broke down and wept.
“I am going to jail, aren’t I? I’m going to lose my family, my husband, my job,” she reportedly stated, as noted by The New York Post.
Police claim that Brailey had sent her student multiple videos of herself while masturbating.
All of these videos were sent on the same hookup site GetYourHoe. com
The young man reportedly initiated contact with Brailey on GetYourHoe. com leading to an exchange of messages, according to media reports.
The messaging between them was initially described as non-s3xual, but later, Brailey allegedly began sending nude images.
Furthermore, it is claimed that the encounters occurred in Brailey’s car after she messaged the student during school hours, indicating that she had a free hour and was looking for some fun.
According to police, the teacher reportedly bought emergency contraception following the encounter.
Police documents detailed by the Daily Telegraph state, “The accused allegedly sent a number of photographs and videos of herself while masturbating.”
“The victim also sent back a number of photographs and videos of himself.”
The young man allegedly told police that he felt compelled to send Brailey the photos to “keep her happy.”
Reports suggest that there was no further communication between them until Brailey allegedly reached out to the boy to ask if he had told anyone about their interactions, which he reportedly denied.
Following her arrest, Brailey was detained overnight and then released on conditional bail with specific terms set.
She is under house arrest with strict conditions, requiring her to stay at home unless accompanied by her parents, avoid school premises, and stay off social media.
Additionally, she is required to check in with the police three times a week.
The prosecution believes the case against her is strong, citing her own admissions and the evidence gathered from both of their phones.
“This is a strong case,” stated Magistrate Imad Abdul-Karim. “If convicted, it is inevitable that she would serve full-time custody.”
Her attorney, Patrick Schmidt, commented, “We’re going to wait until we receive the brief of evidence.”
“At the moment, we need to get those instructions. She’s been in custody, and we’ve only had minimal contact with her.”
A spokesperson from the Department of Education emphasized the importance of student safety, saying: “The safety and welfare of students are our highest priorities.”
“The department has strong policies and procedures in place to ensure their care and protection and to act when employees are alleged to have engaged in misconduct.”
